TikTok, as a popular platform, faces challenges when gaining access to different regions. However, it is increasingly becoming more accepted in various places. Recently, TikTok in Pakistan received positive news of a letter of understanding, indicating its growing popularity.
Pakistan has been consistently calling on TikTok to establish a reliable system for monitoring unlawful content. As legal standards and acceptance levels vary for TikTok's content, there are conservative attitudes among certain Middle Eastern individuals towards certain types of content. This has led Pakistan to impose four bans in order to address these concerns. Additionally, over the years, Pakistan has submitted numerous complaints to Facebook and Twitter regarding offensive content that may insult Islam and infringe upon Pakistani laws.
