According to the times of India on January 25, when the Indian government first implemented the ban, it gave 59 apps a chance to explain their position on complying with privacy and security requirements. The companies were also asked a series of questions. The apps include the popular tiktok of Chinese company bytedance, Tencent's wechat and Alibaba's UC browser.
