北京时间7月23日早间消息，据外媒报道，由于Facebook拒绝了警察部门的用户监听请求，被检方诉以藐视法庭罪，但该项罪名已遭审理法官否决。一些公民权利组织要求公布该案的法律裁决意见书。但在本周三，这一要求遭到了联邦上诉法院的拒绝。

由美国第九巡回上诉法院三名法官组成的陪审团驳回了美国公民自由联盟和电子边境基金会(ElectronicFrontierFoundation)等机构的要求。它们要求下属法院的法官公布法律裁决的意见。

这些公民自由组织认为，虽然监听通常秘密进行，但相关的司法裁决意见却几乎总是公开的。他们说，技术公司迫切需要了解联邦政府在要求他们监听用户方面到底可以走多远。

尽管这方面的事务尚未走入公众视野，但有媒体在2018年就已开始关注《监听法案》（Wiretap Act）是否可用于监听Facebook Messenger的端到端加密语音通话。根据《监听法案》，警察部门可要求电话公司帮助监听用户通话。
